Can you see in the dark?
Tell me, what do you see?
Can you see yourself?
Because I can’t see me
Scratching, fighting, clawing
Begging for God to show me a sign
Because I could not take another minute
Not one more second of living this life
A life that was no longer mine
Then just when I felt I could not take another breath
God showed me a light, He lit up the path
That led me to come sit with you all
And not with the angel of death
So I’ll ask you again
Can you see in the dark?
Now tell me what you see
Just open your eyes and see yourself
Because you all have opened mine
And at last, I can see me
